The 2016 and 2017 World Class Tests Elite Invitational Awards Ceremony was successfully held on March 18th, 2017 at The St. Paul’s Convent School (Secondary Section) in Causeway Bay. More than 100 students of primary and secondary schools along with 15 institutions from Hong Kong, mainland China, Macau, and Taiwan were commended for their outstanding performances at the World Class Tests.

World Class Tests were honored to have been able to invite the likes of Associate Dean of Engineering (External Affairs) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Professor K. F. Wong, President of The Hong Kong Gifted Education Teachers’ Association Mr. T. B. Yeung, President of The Hong Kong Association for Mathematics Education Mr. K. L. Lau, Deputy Directors of The Foshan City Chancheng District Bureau of Education Mr. Z. J. Long and Mr. L. S. Wang, Director of Foreign Exchanges and Cooperation of The Foshan City Chancheng District Bureau of Education Ms. Q. H. Liang, and Deputy to Director (East Asia) of John Hopkins University for International Initiatives, Center for Talented Youth to present the awards to the recognised students and schools.

The Awards Ceremony commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Director of World Class Tests (Asia) Dr. John Tsun. The Ceremony began by awarding the ‘Individual Awards’ to the students to have achieved recognition for the Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017 World Class Tests Elite Competition. Other awards under the category of ‘Individual Awards’ presented during the Ceremony included the ‘2017 World Class Tests Elite Competition Gold Award’, the ‘2016 World Class Tests Math and Problem- Solving Performance Excellence Awards’, the ‘2016 World Class Tests Math and Problem- Solving Challenge Awards’, and the ‘2016 World Class Tests Youngest Student to Achieve Double Distinction Award’.

The Ceremony continued by awarding the ‘School Awards’ to schools that were deemed recognition for their achievements in the 2017 World Class Tests Elite Competition and the Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017 World Class Tests. Awards under the category of ‘School Awards’ presented during the ceremony included the ‘Outstanding Performance School Award’ and the ‘Double Distinction School Award’.

After all of the awards have been presented, the Ceremony ended with all the students and representatives of the recognised school taking a group photo. World Class Tests would like to wish all recognised students with their achievements to continue their hard work, unleash all their inner potentials, and hopefully one day become a major contribution to society.
